Greg is an expert in aquatic and riparian ecosystem management with over 28 years’ direct experience in both the public and private sectors, specialising in strategic and action planning at state, regional and local levels. 

Greg’s theoretical knowledge, practical experience and expertise in problem identification, solution development and implementation has enabled the development of best management approaches for prioritisation and protection of waterway assets. He has worked on waterway management approaches in Victoria and Tasmania and has most recently developed several Victorian standards, guidelines and decision support tools relevant to riparian land. 

Greg is well known for his passion for protecting and restoring aquatic and riparian ecosystems, with environmental sustainability and working within the natural environment being his key personal and professional drivers.  

Greg’s preferred habitat is dense vegetation alongside rivers, streams, creeks (including waterfalls) or intertidal rocky reefs (particularly on uncrowded, offshore days).
