Kira Woods

Kira is a fluvial geomorphologist with an interest in the development and evolution of anabranching river systems as well as environmental flows design and management. Kira has a Bachelor of Arts (Geography) with honours where she investigated inundation patterns on the Ovens River floodplain and a Master of Environment where she specialised in Integrated Catchment Management. Kira has experience in both the public sector, where she worked as part of the team delivering environmental water to Gunbower Forest and in consulting where she has worked on a variety of projects across the disciplines of geomorphology, environmental flows, strategy and policy and monitoring and evaluation.

When not working Kira loves to get outdoors and spends time camping, kayaking and hiking but equally loves to sit in her favourite armchair and do some knitting. She is also currently indulging her passion for history, completing a part-time Masters.
