Sam is a Geomorphologist who has extensive experience with drone surveying/photogrammetry, remote sensing, data capture and spatial analysis. He was awarded a University Medal for outstanding results after completing his Bachelor of Science Honours degree at Flinders University. He then completed a PhD studying the coastal dynamics of a rapidly changing beach and dune system in Beachport, South Australia. Sam now applies his knowledge and skill set to the furthering of our understanding and management of waterways. .

Sam grew up in Goolwa, South Australia where the waters of the Murray River flow into the Coorong and meet the Southern Ocean. This resulted in a love for being in, on, under or around water as often as possible. Sam takes this passion and applies it to his work when analysing these highly important environments.

Outside of work Sam enjoys surfing, diving, photography, riding his bike and listening to/playing music.
